Domestic Abuse Helplines

Action runs Domestic Abuse helplines to support people living in Derbyshire and Sheffield. If you live outside of these two areas, please view our page on Support Available In Other Areas.

What will happen when you call or email the helplines?

If you are experiencing domestic abuse or the effects of abuse, call the helpline and someone will listen to you, help you make sense of your situation and put you in touch with the right service to support you. Alternatively you can email the helplines and let them know how and when it’s safe to get in touch with you.

What services do the helplines provide?

The helplines also provide support for professionals needing advice for cases, or for more advice and guidance on domestic abuse. The helpline also provides specific and targeted support to healthcare agencies in identifying, risk assessing and appropriately referring victims of domestic abuse to the right services.
